We celebrated New Year's with a swim at the pool and balloon drop at exactly 6 pm. Our park district is amazing and makes me so thankful for where we live. I remember writing a post last New Year's Eve wondering what 2010 had in store for our adoption journey. Only God knew. Now as 2011 knocks on the door, we've received our travel packet and have booked our place to stay for the first trip. We are still waiting for definite dates before booking our flight but will be doing that soon.
There are too many emotions to process them all and sleep is not coming easily. My mind is constantly racing! So with the same words that we will use to comfort our new little one, I remind myself of this in Amharic: Ah-HOON ehn-dehr-SAH-lehn (we'll be there soon).
We love you, our family and friends and are so thankful for your prayers and support. 2011 is going to be an incredible year!
