Wow...the long awaited time when Ayelech comes home. We had the big party with the kids at her home. We took all the toys and gifts to them and they all got their new Chicago Cubs t-shirt to wear. We stopped on the way to her home for a cake and they wrote thank you from the Gray family on it. She got to cut the first piece of it and then everyone had some. It was a great day full of fun and celebrating. We left her home around 5 pm and she fell asleep in my arms for the ride home. When we got back to the Guest house, she woke up a little sad but ate a huge meal of cultural Ethiopian (injera) and was even showing us the right way to eat it!
We have a single bed in our room and I slept with her there for the first night. She fell asleep around 8:30 and slept until about 6 this morning. She woke up all smiles and has been playing all morning. So our journey begins (:
